Neurophysiology is the part of physiology that studies the nervous system and Clinical Neurophysiology is the medical specialty which applies the knowledge of Neurophysiology to the study of illnesses that affect the nervous system and sensory organs.

In the Unit of Neurophysiology and Diagnosis of Sleep Disorders of Hospital Clinica Benidorm the following tests are performed:

  • Polysomnography for the study of epilepsy.
  • Multiple sleep latency test.
  • Restless leg syndrome – Syndrome of continuous movements of the legs during sleep.
