Hospital Clínica Benidorm has 17 ISO 9001:2008 quality certifications from the Spanish Standardization and Certification Association (AENOR) for having met the standards of care quality and innovation.

Hospital Clínica Benidorm joined the Quality Management System on the year 2000 and presented an On-going Improvement Plan which has allowed it to obtain a total of 17 quality certifications in the last fifteen years and maintain those certifications and renew them, year after year and thus fulfil its undertaking for quality with patients and the organization.

The certification implies having met the requirements laid down in STANDARD UNE- EN -ISO 9001:2008, as well as the set of technical specifications defined by the professionals involved in providing the services, by the centre’s management and by its Quality Control Department. HCB is a Company which is responsible towards the Environment and its natural surroundings.

The Social Responsibility actions and the Integral Management Plan developed by the Hospital Clínica Benidorm management over the last few years have been taken a step further: the need for an Environmental Quality Policy.

These days, organizations like us must comply with a greater number of environmental demands imposed by the Administration, the clients and society in general. It is therefore essential that HCB should work to develop tools which allow it to integrate the centre’s global activities with the Environment.

That is why we have obtained the certification for environmental quality standard ISO 14001.

The implantation of an Environmental Management System in accordance with standard UNE-EN ISO 14001 has given us a simple way of systematizing the environmental aspects arising in each of the activities carried out in our organization and encourage environmental protection and pollution prevention from a point of view of equilibrium with the socio-economical aspects.

Specifically, at HCB the following environmental aspects derived from the health care activities in all our centres are evaluated.

  • Evaluation of environmental aspects and emergencies
  • Acoustic pollution
  • Power and water consumption
  • Consumables
  • Emissions
  • Spillages
  • Generation of dangerous, sanitary and urban waste.
